WB Buys Up Midaway Games

mortalkvsbatmanSince no one else is stepping up to buy Midway Games, The WB, Warner Bros. has bought most of the company for a cool $33 million.  What you get for that is an awesome collection of the “Mortal Kombat” franchise and the company’s “old school” legacy arcade games including “Joust” and “Spy Hunter”.  There is a lot more behind this story, including a tale of bankruptcy and other companies involved which include “TNA” Games.  Warner may opt to buy the remaining shares if there are no other bidders, dang what a bargain!

Good news is that we may get a comic crossover in the future and we will see what they can do as far as video games and perhaps some badass movies could be in the works.  Batman vs. Scorpion would be cool!!  “Get over here” …holy fatality Batman!   ;)
