Was the TV Show “LOST” Stolen?
Here is a strange rumor…
There seems to be a “guy” who claims he wrote a story similar to “LOST” right down to the last detail almost 32 years ago. Plane from Los Angeles crashes on an island with supernatural qualities, etc. Claiming even the characters are total rip-offs with the same dark pasts and intertwining plot lines.
Anthony Spinner was a producer on “Baretta” back in the 70′s. He claims he was paid to write a TV pilot, which turned into a full on script called “LOST” and is now suing ABC and Touchstone Television, claiming the network was not interested and passed on “the show” on 3 different occasions back in 1977, 1991 and 1994. Then somehow an exact story was developed by Touchstone in 2004 with Spinner out of the loop. But who paid him to write the script and does have have claim to it?

Anthony Spinner has proof of the uncanny similarities to his “LOST” and the comparisons are a mile long. He is suing for damages and a deserved cut of royalties. Spinner tried to sue a few years ago, but it was dismissed for some “reason”. Yeah, maybe somebody paid off the judge, or he has no claim to it cause again, he was “paid” to write it.
Alas, it’s just a rumor at this point so we shall see what the real deal is soon enough, maybe just in time for “LOST” season 6!
