HBO’s “True Blood” Review
It took a while for HBO‘s “True Blood” to gain my interest when it started last year, but eventually it did with their cool theme song “Bad Things” at the opening credits catching my immediate interest. It’s a bit slow moving at times, and it’s more of a love story so don’t expect Dracula to come out of the ground and gnaw the entire cast. Although there is plenty of “blood & violence” to give it that horror effect and feeling. Season 2 just started so here is my take so far…
Cute and adorable “Sookie Stackhouse” is played by Anna Paquin and vampire “Bill Compton” is played by Stephan Moyer who are the main characters of the “True Blood“. The rest of the cast are actors I’m not familiar with but they are very good and each character gets their own story and screen time, sometimes too much I think as I sometimes wonder where Bill & Sookie are?
“Sookie” always seems to find trouble (she can hear people’s thoughts) and is in love with kindhearted vampire “Bill” who has his own set of problems with his detached gang of Vampires running a muck around town. Each character in HBO’s “True Blood” has their own set of problems that don’t tie into each other for the most part, so sometimes you can lose track of who is with who and I find myself questioning which character was involved in what…

Seems I will continue to watch “True Blood” as it is entertaining, besides Anna Paquin is pure joy as she is so cute as the character, “Sookie“! These vampires are “out of the coffin” so too speak as they have joined society now and drink “synthetic blood” invented by the Japanese to keep them from chewing on humans. And the humans use vampire blood as a drug they call “V”, it’s a wild drug that is said to be “mind blowing”. The stories of each character always comes down to one thing… the nookie! Hey, Sookie and nookie rhyme …and it rains true as another good reason to watch! “True Blood” is mainly based on human and vampire bed romping with a lot of drama. I do recommend “True Blood” as it has very good acting, the cool cinematography is dark and cold with a twist of sunshine, and the soundtrack is killer!
