“Tropic Thunder” – Review
My Review for “Tropic Thunder” starring Ben Stiller, Jack Black and Robert Downey Jr.
So I never got to see this in the theater and was lucky enough to catch it on cable last night. To be completely honest, I found myself bored and feeling sweaty (cause all the cast were glistening with sweat from the humidity). The movie dragged on and was predictable, Jack Black was so over the top (tripping from coke withdrawal) I was starting to get a headache, and Ben Stiller was, well, Ben Stiller.
But Robert Downey Jr stole the damn show! He Stole every scene playing a blonde Aussie actor made up as a “black man” for his role in this mock movie in the jungle. Robert Downey Jr was so damn good I could not tell he was a white guy, I truly believed he was a “black dude”! He had everything exact imo, the jive accent, the mannerisms, and the speech pattern were all true and honest, “what do you mean, YOU people …huh”?

Robert Downey Jr is the ONLY reason to watch this movie. Tropic Thunder is an “ok” film, but like I said, Downey stole the damn show!!!
